WHAT'S NEW FOR 2025??
We've made it even easier to apply and compete in the AAPC Pole Performer competition!
In 2025 we have teamed up with some amazing events across Australia, and instead of hosting a live show in these states we will be offering the winners from those state competitions a place in the AAPC Grand Finals.
If you are from one of these states and not competing in one of these comps but would a chance at entry to the AAPC Grand Finals, you can send in a video submission to be judged along side the live shows and we will be taking the top scoring routines to compete at Finals. 5 place getters per division will come from live heats and 5 will be chosen from the video submissions.
Below is the state events that winners will be invited to compete at finals.
You can enter these live comps and/or send a video submission
VIC - Debut Competition
SA/WA - AAPC heat
QLD - AAPC heat
NT - AAPC heat
NSW/ACT - AAPC heat
WHAT DO I NEED TO SUBMIT AN ENTRY APPLICATION?
All entries (regardless of category) need to have...
A clear, centered photo for promotional use
A video of performance (does not have to be a stage video, this can be shot in studio)
Application fee paid
All sections on the form to be completed (This has contact details, division and state selections, a verbal introduction to the organisers and music selection)
WHEN DO ENTRIES CLOSE?
All entries close at MIDNIGHT of the date shown.
Entries shut for the live competitions 2 months prior to the event date.
Video submissions for the Pole Performer Grand Finals close May 30th
Pole Performer Junior and Duo/Group entries will close at the same time as the state heats - but they will not compete at heats, only finals
WILL DUO/GROUPS COMPETE AT HEATS?
No. Only the Grand Finals.
DOES MY SUBMISSION VIDEO HAVE TO BE THE ROUTINE I PERFORM AT THE COMPETITION?
No. You can submit any routine that displays the skill level you are applying for. This can be previous performance or studio shot
CAN I HAVE HUMAN PROPS IN MY ROUTINE?
Yes. But there are limits. You may not have more than 2 human props incorporated into your show and they may not touch the poles. All human props must have a valid ticket for the show they are "propping" at.
CAN I USE GLITTER IN MY SHOW?
At heats there is to be no spread props. Any glitter/confetti products must be secured to a larger prop (IE strands of glitter streamers stuck to the under side of an umbrella) All spread props must be approved prior to the show.
CAN I HAVE BIG PROPS?
For heats, all props must be hand held and not require more than 1 person to carry/set-up. This is because we would like to see your performance interpretation rather than relying on props to tell the story. However, small props can sometimes enhance a show, so smaller things are fine. For finals, you can incorporate bigger props, but there are still limits.
WHAT OTHER PROPS RESTRICTIONS ARE THERE?
There must be no animals and Pole Performers must not use liquids.
HOW LONG DOES MY ROUTINE HAVE TO BE?
Solo shows for all pole divisions are minimum 2 minutes, maximum 3 minutes.
Groups are minimum 2 1/2 (2.30) minutes and maximum 4 minutes.
Burlesque Beauty Parade is 1 minute. Seduction routines must be 2 minutes and Performance routines 2 1/2-4 minutes
Stage Star Parade is 1 minute and Performance routines 2 1/2-4 minutes
