WHAT'S NEW FOR 2026??
In 2026 our Junior Pole Performers will have their very own show! This means that the Pole Performer competition within the other divisions is 18+.
There is also a new Masters division for competitors aged 40+.
We've re-named our "Triple Treat" show to the "AAPC ENTERTAINERS"
And Stage Star has a new division - the Teasers!
WHAT DO I NEED TO SUBMIT AN ENTRY APPLICATION?
All entries (regardless of category) need to have...
A clear, centered photo for promotional use
A video of performance (does not have to be a stage video, this can be shot in studio)
Application fee paid
All sections on the form to be completed (This has contact details, division and state selections, a verbal introduction to the organisers and music selection)
WHEN DO ENTRIES CLOSE?
All entries close at MIDDAY of the date shown. We can allow finalising of forms/video sending etc til Midnight, but late entries will not be accepted.
Entries shut for the live competitions approximately 2 months prior to the event date.
Video submissions for the Pole Performer Grand Finals close July 20th
Pole Performer Duo/Group entries will close at the same time as the state heats - but they will not compete at heats, only finals.
WILL DUO/GROUPS COMPETE AT HEATS?
No. Only the Grand Finals.
DOES MY SUBMISSION VIDEO HAVE TO BE THE ROUTINE I PERFORM AT THE COMPETITION?
No. You can submit any routine that displays the skill level you are applying for. This can be previous performance or studio shot BUT the music you submit in your application must remain the same - or have Organiser approval to change.
CAN I HAVE HUMAN PROPS IN MY ROUTINE?
Yes. But there are limits. You may not have more than 3 human props incorporated into your show and they may not touch the poles. They must not be on stage and active for more than 50% of the routine. All human props must have a valid ticket for the show they are "propping" at.
CAN I USE GLITTER IN MY SHOW?
At heats there is to be no spread props. Any glitter/confetti products must be secured to a larger prop (IE strands of glitter streamers stuck to the under side of an umbrella) All spread props must be approved by the Organiser prior to the show.
CAN I HAVE BIG PROPS?
For heats, all props must be hand held and not require more than 1 person to carry/set-up. This is because we would like to see your performance interpretation rather than relying on props to tell the story. However, small props can sometimes enhance a show, so smaller things are fine. For finals, you can incorporate bigger props, but there are still limits.
WHAT OTHER PROPS RESTRICTIONS ARE THERE?
There must be no animals or fire and Pole Performers must not use liquids. (This includes dry ice)
HOW LONG DOES MY ROUTINE HAVE TO BE?
Solo shows for all pole divisions are minimum 2 minutes, maximum 3 minutes.
Groups are minimum 2 1/2 (2.30) minutes and maximum 4 minutes.
Burlesque Beauty Parade is 1 minute. Seduction routines must be 2 minutes and Performance routines 3-5 minutes
Stage Star Parade is 1 minute and Performance routines 3-5 minutes
CAN I ENTER MULTIPLE SECTIONS?
Yes. We have 6 live shows and 2 online competitions; and you can enter *almost* as many categories and divisions as you like!
The only restriction is on entering multiple skill levels in one category.
For example - If you enter to compete in the Pole Performer or Burlesque Beauty live competition, you must choose ONE solo skill division (Beginner/Intermediate/Artist etc) - But you can compete solo and duo.
Online Pole Performer is a choice of Novice or Open, but you may submit multiple entries to Artist or After Dark (one entry per division)
Inked Idol and Pinups are age based divisions so it would be whatever section applicable.
You may then enter any (or all) of the Stage Star divisions (FloorFlow, Propster and Teaser).
