ABOUT THE COMPETITION
The AAPC Pinup will be held as a photographic contest, and no live parade show.
All parts to the competition are judged by a panel, according to the judging criteria set.
HOW TO ENTER
To enter, Contestants are required to submit an application form including entry video via google forms, $25 application fee and supply 1 professional photograph for promotions. All pieces of application must be completed for the entry to be deemed successful (Application fees are per entry) Late entries will not be accepted.
After submission, When entries close, applications are reviewed and will be judged.
“Themed Online” entries must be a “holiday” or “character” submission.

DIVISION BREAKDOWNS
- Preparatory Classique Pinup
Category for females or identifying, 18-39 in age. Entrant styling must be in the 20s-60s era. No exposed tattoos or modernized versions will be accepted in this category.
- Preparatory Contemporary Pinup
Category for females or identifying, 18-39 in age. Entrants can include 70s onwards influence in their styling; Modern and rockabilly accepted. Exposed tattoos encouraged.
- Premier Classique Pinup
Category for females or identifying, 40+ in age. Entrant styling must be in the 20s-60s era. No exposed tattoos or modernized versions will be accepted in this category.
- Premier Contemporary Pinup
Category for females or identifying, 40+ in age. Can include 70s onwards influence in their styling; Modern and rockabilly accepted. Exposed tattoos encouraged.
- Dapper Dude
Category for male or indentifying entrants, Any age.
- Perfect Pinup Pair (Couples category)
Entrant styling can be in the classic 20s-60s era; or modern 70s onwards influence. Tattoos acceptable in this division.
Pinup Online competition
Entries open to both solo competitors & pairs
Competitors will be asked to present 2 “looks” via image. Casual everyday and Themed “Personality” outfit.
First place in each division will be awarded to the competitor who demonstrates the highest level of poise, sound knowledge of styling plus technical skill and ability.
Judging criteria
Posing Is the model comfortable? Is it a complimentary pose? Standard or unique?
Poise & Confidence How confident is the model? Display good posture and body awareness?
Styling Costuming, Props appropriation, Cohesion
Capture (of image) Do they make you stop and look (for the right reasons)? Is it clear, in focus?
Concept Refers to originality, costuming/theme
Adhere to era/division Does it fit the 20s-60s theme, or is it high modern couture? Appropriation
Overall Uniqueness, X factor, Stage presence, Audience engagement.
